Since season 1 episode 2 :P, the second or third anime I ever watched. (Yes, I'm not for that long a anime watcher. However it seems so.) I even endured all comments of StrikerS first episodes and keep on going being fan of Nanoha. Nanoha rules, the second anime dvd's I bought. I will always remember it.

Before I even watched the show. There was this fanmade game in Flash posted on 4chan's /f/ board, like three years ago, a top-down shooter where you played as Nanoha and had to battle through a few hundred generic Gundams and a few giant spaceships to fight against Fate. You could swing Raising Heart, shoot magic or charge up a Divine Buster, which would make you invincible while you fired it. Using a Divine Buster against Fate was basically useless, though, because she would counter with a Plasma Lancer, which was basically impossible to dodge and made HER invincible while she used it, so while you'd make her lose a life you'd lose one of yours too. Every time your heart meter was depleted a piece of Nanoha's clothing would be removed and it was "game over" if she got stripped completely naked. Conversely, once you made it to Fate and started depleting her lives, she would lose pieces of clothing too, and once you got her completely naked you won the game. Then the ending scene was Nanoha hugging Fate in the nude, and I was like, "Okay, this is awesome."

I rember finishing GaoGaiGar, and I heard on 4chan that this character Subaru was a magical girl version of the mech. Noh I laughed, bt others said tha Nanoha was a Hi Nu, and Fat/Signum were Zengar clones. I downloaded A's and StrikerS, and I watched. Got a few freinds, (and my mom, WTF) hooked, and then when I saw ep 26, I shouted HEAVEN AND HELL. And that is how I got into Nanoha

that's why i mentioned that some people may not get that reference they made for bardiche's human form. obviously he sounds like a guy, but the human model that's used looks alot like linith, right? don't remember her? go back to nanoha a's in the episode when fate was in her "ideal world" and there was this one girl who looked like a maid who woke them up. i actually like linith's story in the soundstage because it shows even more importance of bardiche to fate. although i'm not sure if fate knows what ever happened to linith...

This episode underscores how great and well planned out the season is, never a boring moment. Have I mentioned lately how much I love StrikerS?

Yeah, what the topic says.

The volume 1 DVD has an interview with Nanoha and Fate's voice actresses. Frankly, it doesn't look all that interesting, but I'm sure someone will find it worth a watch (even if only to see two Japanese girls giggling with each other...). I haven't checked the other volumes, but I'm sure they all have extras in need of translation as well.

If you'd like to help, find me on IRC and I'll slap together a conveniently packaged raw for you to work off of. I'll take care of the rest of the busy work.

Volume 1 also has a season 1 recap done to the music of season 1's ED which I'll probably throw up on a rapidshare or badongo or something when I get around to it. It's only about 4 minutes long and if I do put lyrics on it, they won't be on by default.

I went through all 6 volumes and the list of specials is below. Each one is only a couple minutes long so it shouldn't be too much work. If any of you works for another fansub group or knows someone bored out of their mind just begging to translate Japanese to English PLEASE have them contact me on IRC. I have no problem if another group wants to make it a joint project. What I'd like to do is release them immediately after the last episode on the DVD volume they came from (e.g. vol 2 specials come after episode 5 since vol 2 contains eps 4 and 5). Obviously, the longer it takes to find a translator, the more specials will need to be released at the same time to keep up with regular episode releases.

Vol 1:

  • Special Talk: Nanoha + Fate VA's
  • Creditless OP (already using this)
  • Season 1 Recap to music of Season 1 ED

Vol 2:

  • Special Talk: Hayate, VITACHAN, Signum, Shamal, Zafira's VA's
  • Creditless ED (I should've known this would be here, I'll be using it starting with Ep 04)

Vol 3:

  • Special Talk: Nanoha + VITACHAN
  • Some kind of convention event. All the VA's except Zafira are there. They draw amusing pictures, play with some sort of giant ballon, and voice each other's lines for a couple scenes from the show

Vol 4:

  • Special Talk: Fate + Signum
  • TV Commercials for Sound Stage CD1, Drama CD1, and DVD Vol 1

It's a well established fact that all characters from the magic world (ie, not Earth) are named after something motor vehicle related. It's a throw back to Magic Knight Rayearth, which did the same thing.

No one, the English VA's do not put enough effort into it. I've heard a lot of dubbed Anime, and it sounds fake, especially when the VA's cry. At any rate I prefer Japanese streams compared to English. Well, tis my two cents anyway.

I'll try again under srw and gba... game boy advance? so i really need to compare apples to apples, like i shouldn't be comparing a pc game to a handheld, totally different things...

Nice makes me want to play @3, but i'd have to say lyrical wars is a better fusion as it includes traits from both rather than just adding the music from one to another
