and look at date after eatch episode that tells you when it was on TV so as far im concern it takes DG'z 4-5 days to translate and thats good enuf they not like Dattebayo who translate in 12h or less so for epi 3 i guess friday at most.

Actually, Kiety decided (... well, his work did really) that he has to go to Japan for a week. There goes our main translator, and I've got no chance of doing it because I'm mainly used for translating military terms and picking up some minor things that kie may have missed.
He did say he'd try to get into an internet cafe and post the t/ls somewhere, but who knows if he'll manage.

Kie's been asking me to do a rough t/l of the ep for him... I got up to 5 minutes and 31 seconds and stopped because the big white screen with small text and the other screen looping the same bit of footage and sound over and over again has made my brain considerably numb... I now have a very powerful headache... how the hell does Kiety do this?
And why does Hayate have the heaviest Kansai dailect ever to be heard in a show? If there's another show with a heavier dialect, I dont want to know about it.

In other news though, Chapter 3 has been translated and edited. Now we're waiting on a raw... which doens't seem to be coming as all of Osaka and Kyoto seemed to forget to rip it last night.
And before i forget, another name we've decided to not use it's official "Engrish" name for is Vice. We're using Weiss instead now, because A, it looks better, B, he doesn't sound like some second rate pass off now and C, Hayate sounds like she actually does say Weiss.
Anyway, Weiss is actually pronounced Vice anyway. Tricky stuff that German.

And I still don't agree with Weiss. If they were trying to use German they'd have tried, and likely failed, at German, not used an English word. But whatever, it's not like I'll change your mind anyway.

Maybe you should do a poll on that to see how many like each version a go with that. But that's just my opinion.

Gelmax, that raws an upscale. JJS declined it. So no raws until the next airing... some time Friday (Eastern time, should be Thursdays for you westerners).
The great news is, the script is done and done. Complete. Finished. And any other word which indicates that if we work on it any more, someone will die. So when a raw does come out, it shouldn't be too long for us to release it (don't forget, it takes over 6 hours for the encode. Patience my friends.)
And as for us being convinced with Vice... I'm sure Kie and I said something like "we really don't care you know... he's just a sub-chara."

Forgive my ignorance, but I just don't understand. The raw is an upscale, ie higher quality right? Wouldn't it be easy to downscale a high quality raw in to something usable?
There's a few other issues with the raw. Trust me, they've had it longer then it's been torrented >_>

That's pretty much what I was wondering as well. You guys have a translation, and are just waiting for a RAW which you consider to be just right...which is respectable, of course, but there's raws out that I'm perfectly happy with and I just want to know what people are saying, I can manage without the script being packaged with a file that may appear on the internet sometime within the next three days. It'd even save me some trouble, as I prefer the 1024x576 raws anyway and plan to use them at least until the series is over.
No. Everyone will get their translations of Nanoha StrikerS at the same time.
Also, we refuse to use upscales. As aers said, its more than an issue of downscaling. And anyways, it may save you trouble, but we've gone through hell to t/l these, and for those who don't have the raws, it'll only be trouble for them.
Besides, the release shouldn't be too far away. If anything, it'll be out before those crappy episode 4 raws come out. If not, I'll commit sepaku.

Aw. I was hoping to get it before the weekend. Well, now, don't you guys feel silly for translating so far in advance when raws that are acceptable to you come out so late? ^_^
we feel frustrated, not silly. It would be out now if Chiba and Kyoto recorded the episode, but nothing came from them. Something must have happened... god knows what though.
On the other hand, we could have neglected using the other raws to work with and waited until these new ones to come out before translating anything. But something tells me you wouldn't like that either, as it'll take another 3 to 4 extra days until you get your work.
Seriously, we're commited to giving you the translations AT THE SAME TIME AS EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANTS THEM! If you don't like it, t/l it yourself. If you can't do that, then be patient.
Translating ahead of time does in fact save time, and is worth the effort in the long run. It gives chances for better quality control and translation corrections. Once the proper RAW comes out the rest is quick as the scripts would have been completed. As said before it would take about 6 hours to encode the episode.

Kaliton, as it is, I don't think that'll matter. 4chan just chewed out Triad for what they translated Kiddou Rokka to. They honestly believe it translates to something like Ancient relic retrieval and riot force... or something like that.
Well look on the bright side, if everyone is impatient that just means the anime is nice, they love your work and should become a source motivation for fan-subbers right? XD Ah i can't wait~~~

Btw... Sawari, yes, Kiety went to Japan. Apparently he went back home to Canada. No, it didn't really slow things down because he did take a laptop with him. What slowed us down was a lack of raws.
