Geneon's problems (5)

Just as i'm looking towards the R1 release, this news shows up on ANN and TSRI, http://www.rightstuf.com/main.shtml .

I'm praying that this doesn't mean the end for R1 nanoha, and for the other geneon titles i've got on order (rozen, higurashi, fate/stay).

-Gabe who finds that many of his recent buys are geneon titles with a few bandai and adv tossed in.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but normally when a company state's that they are canceling all further dvd release's it also usually mean's they won't be releasing anything new either (IE - no new anime)

However, I do wonder what this means for Season 1 and 2 for Nanoha, perhaps another company will take it over (Funimation, or someone else)

note that geneon only said they arn't selling or distroing any more, most people think that they will become like Kadowaka and release their titles via other companies.

kadowaka licensed Haruhi and FMP-TSR
Bandai released Haruhi
ADV subbed and Funi released FMP-TSR

Last I heard, and maybe it is unrelated, Geneon is transferring all marketing for its titles to ADV. Sorry, I don't have a source for that... but I guess I am just saying that firemage is probably right.
