found this while browsing tosho, it's the magical lyrical wars fan short.

If you like Nanoha and not Super Robot Wars, something is wrong with you.
>If you like Nanoha and not Super Robot Wars, something is wrong with you.
Well, I don't like mecha anime in general, so something's wrong with me. Or maybe it has something to do with my disliking of the second half of StrikerS?
Well, Nanoha is basically SRW without robots, so it takes away the only element preventing you from liking SRW. The correlation is still there.

sorry for the dup post, but isn't one of the people behind nanoha a noted SRW fan?

Allow me to explain. Nono for being a cyborg (although Nono is actually an android, so that's technically wrong), Combattler V for her Wing Road, which is similar to an attack Combattler does, Jeeg because she pounds her fists together when she transforms (ala BUILD UUUP!), GaoFighGar because back when ep 1 aired everyone was going on about how Subaru's one shooting attack was like the Broken Phantom (a GaoFighGar attack). Also, Subaru going berserk is similar to a scene when GaoFighGar goes all insane looking. Plus, Mach Calibur's gem looks like a G-Stone. Dendoh because of the turbines, Alteisen because its Revolver Stake works like the Cartridge system. When Subaru was trying to punch through the barrier of that drone in ep 1, it was very similar to what the Alt would do. Noriko is there for HOT BLOOD and the car is there for obvious reasons (hint: the car is a Subaru).
And there you have our lovely Type 0 Combat Cyborg.
He sure is.
So since this is a Nanoha/mecha thread...
This always has me laughing my ass off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6yhUeozSdY

Also, this further reinforces the Nanoha/Zeorymer and Subaru/GaoFighGar connection.
Bleh, can't believe I forgot to mention the fact that Signum is based of Lamia from SRW Advanced/Original Generation. Hell, they even have the same voice actress.
Also, almost all of the attack animations in the Lyrical Wars video are the same as the attack animations in SRW Alpha 3 and Original Generations.
Also, Graf Eisen is a Goldion Hammer, and its Limit Break is a Giga Drill Breaker.

I think I saw Baran Doban frames in one of the Battle Fantasia anims of Vita, specifically for her Raketen Hammer attack.
In fact, I'd nearly say the I like MGLN despite the fight scenes.
Well, the fight between Nanoha and Fate (S1, ep 11) was great, but for the rest, I believe MGLN's strength is the "slice of life" scenes.
SRW is also great for its 'slice of life scenes' despite the fighting as well. Before each mission there's always plenty of dialouge filled with interesting characters and hilarity. It's not just about giant robots beating the crap outta each other just like how Nanoha isn't only about collecting stuff (like most magic girl animes are about).
i thought the characters looked extremely ugly, and the gameplay shown was super-stupid. does anyone enjoy playing games like this? this stuff isn't anywhere as good as Quake 3, Unreal Tournament or Counter-Strike, the kind of action games i'm used too...
i deleted the file off my computer as soon as i finished viewing it...
u haven't tried SRW, and i don't think u will like either since its not at all like all those action games u worship, its a TBS game
i suggest trying the GBA versions

ok, i'll look into it, but when I googled "tbs game" I got "The Gillian's Island Game"... i'll keep looking! google is my friend! I'll try again under srw and gba... game boy advance? so i really need to compare apples to apples, like i shouldn't be comparing a pc game to a handheld, totally different things...
also in google under "tbs game" was Turn Based Strategy games... which i like alot! I really like UltraCorps by Steve Jackson Games...
continue search...
You'll have more luck if you search for the full title, which is Super Robot Taisen Original Generation and Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 2.
and i thought most people knew wht TBS stands for
The greatest fusion of Nanoha and SRW: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJZtD6tNIJM
Nice makes me want to play @3, but i'd have to say lyrical wars is a better fusion as it includes traits from both rather than just adding the music from one to another
