What do you want to see if they will make a season 4 of Nanoha?

Mahou shoujo Lyrical Nanoha?
Mahou shoujo Lyrical Subaru?
or Mahou shoujo Lyrical Vivio?

I want to see more asskickingness from Nanoha, with more starlight breaker awesomeness. i'm less interested in subaru as a character, but Vivio would be cool to see, mostly how well she would do as a magic user.

i mentioned this before but i'd rather see a movie that would end the series entirely just because i don't want them beating a dead horse. no really, if they continue to try to bring in more new characters for nanoha and company to kick ass first and befriend afterwards, it would be really redundant and would lose the magic of the nanoha series. with the amount of new characters they threw in strikers, especially the numbers, there won't be enough character development for anyone which i believe the strikers series lacked in compared to nanoha and nanoha a's. a movie would wrap up the series nicely if done right and not to mention more budget for quality animation (chuckle...thinking of episode 24) with even crazier eyecandy of starlight breaker.

I hope Subaru will have a Cyborgnetic BF in season4

I mean, nanoha already 19 in 3rd season. Yes, she wasn't girl anymore, she is a maiden, a woman!

But, if we just change the main cast, there are probability there are some fans that not recognize it. And i prefer new character in next season, with setting back to Mizu-whatever city.

In fact I doubt it. I really enjoyed the series even the start of StrikerS was enjoyable, whatever people said. StikerS was great, and again meany on the end like the prequels.
However a season 4... probarly not. Like Panda_Niisama I agree with uragayduck. It all looks like the StrikerS season is build to end this way. I already had that feeling hearing the rumors after A's.

So, it's time for another little innocent girl in earth, involved with inter-dimensional problem that adult at TSAB can' solved!!

...if they still persist with 4th season... Like Galaxy Angel, ye'now? In 4th Season, RUNE, the main cast tottaly changed, but there are still some link with previous season.

oh wow, i can't believe someone referenced to GA (my favorite series up there with nanoha). GA was able to pass off with many seasons since it's slapstick comedy and what not with random funniness. well, GAru~ne was a bit disappointing especially since it didn't portray the characters as well as they should have like they did in the game (that's weird because seto no hanayome was funny and it was directed by the same person who did GAru~ne).

errrr.....so back on topic. if they do pull through with a season 4, they really might have to change the main character but that pretty much kills the whole name of the series.

I'd like to see them back on earth, maybe after Nanoha and Fate's enlistments/commissions end.

back again...yes, it means change of name of series, but forcing 4th season with ageing Nanoha seems bad prospect to me. Afterall, if they WOULD use either Vivio or Subaru in 4th installment, they still have to change name, right?

So conclusion? ...Either just end it at 3rd, finish it in one movie, or create new connected series.
Not to compare, but maybe we can use Clamp trick? They often make crossovers. Like XXXholic with Tsubasa (and other clamp's).

With the TSAB's roll, they can really do alot, honestly i'm expecting something of a multi world crisis just after StrikerS (with in a year or 5 to de-loli the remainder of the cast)

They could do a prequel. You know....like maybe they could show the Book Of Darkness incident that ended with Chrono's Dad death. They could have Lindy as the main character....I'd watch that.

The only way we are going to get the same kind of reckless abandon and raw smackdown that we saw in the first two seasons is if...

1. The next season occurs before Nanoha's injury, or
2. The next season occurs after StrikerS with a battle so important that Nanoha and company are going to have to forget about what is safe and just let loose (which would probably have to include the downfall of TSAB and its controlling ways).

Either idea would work in an 13-ep season or a movie. The biggest problem (but some might say the greatest asset) of the second idea is that Nanoha would either die or be injured beyond the use of magic ever again. That would complete the story, but such finality may be too much and if handled wrongly would destroy the series.
A third possibility is to create a spin-off (as Nanoha is a spin-off of Triangle Hearts). It might be interesting to see a series based off of what little we saw in the Lyrical Toybox music video. But I am a sucker for cute anime as well as action, so....
I also think idea one, with a season set in her junior high years, might be good.

pretty late in response but i only have the raws of GAru~ne also Panda_Niisama. there was only one subbed episode i found which were the same guys that did the other 4 seasons of the original GA shows.

i agree with the idea of if they do make another season out of nanoha they should end it with nanoha losing all her magical abilities which actually ends it pretty smoothly compared to actually killing her off. if you put all the seasons together it would be pretty much the birth of a magaical girl to the end of her magical girl life. so as you age you gradually lose your magic. although "mahou shoujo lyrical fate" has a nice ring to it, heh.

For me... It's really more fun to see Subaru and Tiana when they're together... and I don't mind seeing them as a supporting character (yeah.. Its fine with me).

heck, I will not watch it if Vivio will be the main character there in the 4th season ,I'm not really interested about her character, If she will be the new white devil then be it. (seriously....I want her to be the Main Villian Vivio more than the main character lulz)

Personally, I think this is a good place for Nanoha to end. Most of everyone's story is more or less resolved or has no where else to do. They're all pretty much not just working. If anything a Final movie to close off any lose ends would be interesting. A Fourth Season though, nah, I wouldn't want to go that far... well... unless they do something like the mock movie with StrikerS Nano. That would solve a lot of lose ends, please the crowd of "Just kill Nanoha at the end" and make for an impressive movie to boot.

On a side note: the StrikerS Nano site updated with Sound Stage Nanos...

ahh...i there might be something they can do. although this idea won't work for all the characters in nanoha strikers. simply raise the dead. in other words, fate's sister comes back to life somehow and is just as badass as fate is, and then there's teana's brother who died as well so there's conflict for her to face. but wait, there's another dead person too.....subaru's mom. and then how about this, reinforce comes back for revenge (a little something for hayate and the wolkenritter to go up against). but that's about all that i can come up with and that's only a small fraction of the characters out of the many. it could be done in a movie so it isn't too impossible. the only problem is that the main character doesn't have a conflict to face.

How bout make entire Takamichi familiy to zombies? That sure a conflict.

I also think a plot : There are some organization, where Dr. Scaglietti and Precia was belong. They secretly conduct some experiment, but Dr. went out and those high council sniff him, so put him on work.

umm....if we're talking about subaru and ginga's mom, then i think she did die. didn't their dad mention it? she along with lutecia's mom and zest died in their last mission didn't they? although it was shown that zest and megane (her mom's name...i think) we're kept resurrected/kept alive by scaglietti, subaru's mom wasn't shown to be kept alive and whatnot. it's a perfect set up for a movie or a set of OVAs ala mai otome zwei.

A bigger budget does nothing if they can't write a good story. That's what drew me in to MLGN and A's, and what, IMO, was missing from StrikerS. (But that argument is better served somewhere else.)

well we all know that the nanoha project team can write stories, but the problem with strikers (which i believe most people will agree) is that there were so many characters with little time to develop each of them. teana got a good chunk of story while erio got little to nothing. kind of wished they showed how he was like after they took him away from his parents which was shown in the manga. scary pissed off erio was completely different form what we saw him in strikers.

Vivio is so cool, great pictures thx! So, for season 4, I think Nanoha's students is over. Nanoha, Fate, Hayate sees Vivio growning up. When Vivio realizes her birthright she might want todo some research which will end up in an über cool case. First Vivio fights and then Nanoha and the party get's involved when something happens to her.

they have in fact told how bardiche was made in the second soundstage of nanoha 1st. that ties in with the story behind lilith who was not explained at all in nanoha a's. only those who heard that soundstage before that episode in a's would have understood the importance of her in fate's life.

i'm not one to brag....but if it has to do with Nanoha, i'll go all out. i'm pretty sure i mentioned a movie rather than a season 4 in another thread here, but man i didn't expect them to actually go through with it. it's not what i had in mind though i'll admit. i'd rather have had a new story wrapping up the series rather than a remake of the first season...but we can't be too picky now can we? i'm glad that they've decided to milk the franchise even more especially since Seven Arcs already has another series called White Album that's going to air in Jan 08 (stars Mizuki Nana AND Hirano Aya. Huzzah!).

i'm saddened that they got lolied again as well since i love them as adults, but if the story is told in a better way than the first as well as...gasp theatrical action packed scenes, i'll be in heaven.

ehhh, i'll keep going since i haven't talked about Nanoha in so long so let's talk about the new designs of the characers and devices. notice how they've combined designs from their A's barrier jackets and 1st jackets with Nanoha's being the most notable. not to mention the added colors of blue to Raising Heart and the red orbs on Nanoha's feet. Fate has her socks from A's while keeping her 1st shoes.

now for the devices. it's pretty obvious just by looking. i actually kind of liked Bardiche's original design since he looked like an axe but not really. the movie design really makes it look like one now. well, if anything, the haken....err...i mean scythe form will look different probably as well (maybe even better). Raising Heart....she's looking more gundam weapon like each time. and this is without the cartridge system. man, if they make theatrical movies of A's and StrikerS i can only imagine how awesome they'll be.

I'm actually kinda worried about that drama CD. Since it's set 3 years after StrikerS, I think any chances of a fourth season are gone. Also, I get the feeling the drama will finally put some concrete relationships into place. In three years, some one must have become a couple. I fear that they'll go the fan pandering route and have the yuri pairings. As a het fan, needless to say I'd be quite heartbroken, especially since it's my favourite series. The thought of all the shoujo-ai fans dancing in the streets doesn't help either...

Well, maybe Seven Arcs will still try to please everyone. Maybe the audio drama will set straight pairings while the new movies will go for the shoujo-ai angle. Or vise verse. I could be happy with that.

wel i just recently got my megami mag and listened to the soundstage as well as briefly go through the interview in the mag itself. i'm wondering.....why are people saying that's it's coming out this winter?? it clearly states that it's in 2009 in the interview and even in the soundstage. it even says on the freakin hompage that it's 2009. someone must've got too excited and mistakenly saw a 9 as an 8 and spread wrong info.

Whilst there's no news of 4th Series, there's going to be 'Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha: The Movie'. It's this which'll appear in Winter of 2008.

It'll be a reimagining of the 1st series, and as you'll see in the September issue of Megami magazine, the Barrier Jackets have had a subtle but noticeable redesign too.
