Awesome news. It'll definitely be going on my shelf. Most of the dub and sub work was done on it a long time ago too. All Funi needs to do is put it on the market.
yay. my wallet can breathe a sigh of relief especially after the investment that went into collecting all volumes of nanoha strikers. i'll probably get R1 dvds of nanoha 1st but succumb to nanoha a's R2 just because of the awesome covers that i know won't make it overseas (if it even gets licensed here).

Yeah, Geneon picked up season 1 and A's. And now that Funi is handling it, it should mean we can get each season in a cheap box set.
yeah, strikers is the only one that isn't licensed yet. i got the R2 version anyways because the covers are too awesome to not display.
oh, and i figured that funimation only got nanoha 1st but not a's yet. if that's the case, they're probably going to see how 1st turns out and then release a's (note how in the anime news network article that was pointed out that they only listed 1st and not a's)
Well, that can be taken two ways. When they say 'Lyrical Nanoha' it could mean either the first season or the franchise.
that's true. but then they also list other series that have more than one season like rozen maiden and it's second season traumend as different series as well as kyo kara maoh season 2. if they're that specific about different seasons, i don't see why it would hurt to put "a's" in their report (yeah, i'm a picky bastard like that. take things to the letter, heh)
Well, they didn't put the second season of Zero no Tsukaima either.

On the Nanoha A's page on ANN, the distributor said it will be Funi so I guess they did pick up both
hmmm....oh well. i guess it's safe to say that they did license A's. maybe both 1st and A's are both under the "Lyrical Nanoha" tag after all and will be a 26 episode series versus 2 seasons of 13 episodes. it's a shame, i liked the A's add on for the title.

huh, oddly enough the strikers manga got licensed but the anime hasn't been.....yet.

now here's a question that some fans may finally get answered: raising heart or raging heart. either way, both sounds fine to me. they'll probably go with raging just because it sounds...uhh...tougher, but then raising sounds like it fits in the magical girl world. but really, in the end it's not a big deal.

You know there is something called 'supporting a series you love.' Honestly, 99% chance it'll see a cheap box set release. You have no reason not to buy it. Don't be one of those people who just pirates stuff. That's what's killing the R1 industry.
i'll be honest. i have the dvd rips of the first series as well as the t.v. raws of all the series, t.v. subs of all the series, dvd raws of all the series, and dvd subs of all the series.....BUT i'm going to get the series on dvd anyways. heck, i've got all 9 volumes of strikers already which is probably more expensive than all the american releases of lyrical nanoha combined. of course i'll cry a river if they release it on blu-ray which means another investment as well as a ps3 investment.

i'm probably not going to get the R1 dvds of strikers if it comes out since i already have it on R2 unless they miraculously put it on blu-ray which i highly doubt. i'm still wondering i should get a's in R2 solely based on the box art which some will be left out in the R1 transition. even the a's tag will be wiped off as well which would suck
Well, if you understand Japanese, why not? For those of us who need an english version to know what people are saying, we only have fansubs and R1 releases.
